Cyprien nodded. "I did, but like I said, it didn't last longer than a few minutes," she replied and looked at him sternly as if to assure him that whatever he was thinking wasn't a big deal. After all, she was just happy to see him back and it wasn't as if she was a total lightweight--she was the Queen of the Cormorants. At Roi's question, she frowned slightly and shrugged. "I'm not sure...she hasn't returned yet."

Promptly nodding, Roi would frown slightly, and shake his head. Turning his back to her, he'd cross his arms over his chest. "I've hardly been the king that everyone makes me out to be. I disappeared, and didn't leave any note of it whatsoever."He'd sigh softly, his head shaking slowly from side to side. "I apologize for leaving such a load on your lap, my queen. I'm sure that you've held your own so far, but that's no excuse for my sudden leave." He'd turn back to her, his head lowering now. "I apologize for leaving you alone, in such a time of need."

Cyprien frowned and then kissed him. "The important thing is that you're here now. All the Cormorants are excited to see you return and we may be needed soon anyway. I expect that a meeting of all the Clutch Royalty will be called soon to discuss all the odd happenings. It's only logical."

Roi would nod slowly, despite his growing frustration. He had only returned, and in his absence, trouble had begun to stir. It was logical for him to do his part. "What else did you find at Lac Mystique?"

Cyprien heaved a deep sigh before continuing, "I found Yseult's younger sister, the exile. I'm not sure whether I should report her or not. What do you think?"

He'd shake his head slowly, as his clawed hand rested upon the bottom of his beak, his head lowering a minute. Roi would fall deeply into thought, before turning his gaze back towards her. "I'm not sure... How much of a threat is she?"

"It's hard to say. She should be no more threat than she was before--just an insane, vengeful outcast. But if she's enlisted Visant's help then we may have some trouble on our hands. Regardless, both Visant and Clarion aren't targeting our clutch necessarily. However, I also believe that when faced they would spare no mercy for our Hunters. So the question is, how much loyalty do we owe to the Swans, if necessary?" she replied, standing up from her throne to pace anxiously.

Shaking his head slowly, Roi's brow furrowed darkly at the thought. Here they were, both King and Queen of the Cormorants, deciding whether or not to assist the Swans in the battle against the vengeful lich, Visant the Abhorred, and his minions. It had brought a deep sinking feeling into his heart, as he turned his gaze towards Cypriene once more, those eyes locking upon her. "So, you mean that we should just leave the Swans to fend for themselves? But... no matter where our loyalties stand, or how strong it is towards them, they are still our allies, Cypriene. I understand we need to think of ourselves at a time like this... but isn't there anything we can do to help? At all?"

"I'm really not sure, Dumer. I remember when Visant was still Gavrie, and when Clarion was still a Swan....they were formidable avians back then, and are even more so now. I'm not sure whether I want to invoke an all out conflict against them...but I suppose we must at least provide some support, although I'm uneasy about this," she replied, turning back to him.

He sighed and nodded in agreement with her, the young king's brow furrowing darkly. Such a situation that had befallen, such hard times. No longer were their enemies of equal power as them. It was going to be difficult to wage conflict with Visant and his minions. It was at this time that the Cormorants, and the other clutches of the Beyond would have to fend for themselves. But Roi couldn't bear to live with himself, if he had left the Swan Clutch to face Visant's onslaught alone. "This is a difficult matter... we would need to discuss it further..."

Cyprien nodded. "Yes, but that's assuming we could ever hold Yseult's attention for longer than a few minutes. Even when I went to talk with her the other day she seemed disinterested and unconcerned about the whole matter," Cyprien replied, biting her lip.

Roi merely nodded, unable to think of anything more to say on this particular situation. His brow furrowed darkly, as his arms crossed over his chest. "You say weapons of any kind do not have an affect on Visant. What about magic? Does that work?" There was a twinge of hope in the eyes of the Cormorant king, as he stared on at his queen, his arms crossed over his chest. He'd hoped that there was something they could use against this powerful new enemy, some sort of weapon. If so, then there was, perhaps, some hope for the Swans.

"I'm not sure...some magic might possibly harm him, but I'm almost positive that he's impervious to at least certain brands of magic," Cyprien replied, biting her lip. "But it's difficult to say either way. There is very little knowlege on these liches here in Beyond, and I'm not sure who to ask. General Maxilla might know, or perhaps the Eagles, but even if they don't we must prepare. Hard times are upon us, Dumer."

The Cormorant Hunter looked back on Morgan now and then, and wondered why no one had given him the Impetus Volaris yet. It was clear he was no flyer, and he wondered why the fellow hadn't told him that to start with. He drew near and said, "I don't suppose it's within your dignity to offer you a ride? Might save some daylight, not to mention some of your energy?" He gauged the fellow, and figured he'd need to call someone in to lend a hand, not wanting to overdo it himself.
