(From Millifiori's Grove, Beyond)
As Araia stepped through the portal, he looked around him, and could only describe the scenery of Tintagel as 'odd'. It wasn't that anything was so surprising or strange, but the very atmosphere had something in it. Something...different, that made his insides feel weird. He moved forward and waited for Sirath to exit, watching the portal seal itself. And then he looked around again.
'Outside' had obviously been a broad term for the mirror, for Araia could not see Flowers's house anywhere. This fact put him on guard, but he knew as long as he had the mirror he could find anywhere he needed to go.

(From Millifori's Grove, Beyond)
Once they stepped through the portal, Sirath was silent. He had grown wary of places he wasn't familiar with and he had no real way of knowing whether Tintagel would be a dangerous place for them. Of course, he was prepared to defend himself, but he was always on edge.
Sirath stepped up next to Araia and quickly made note of the scenery. He needed to know as much about this place as he could, so that he'd be prepared should something. He looked over at Araia when he paused and asked quietly, "Where is Flowers?"

Spinner smiled at her and brushed her hair back from her eyes. "Well, I imagine she's out flying around, avoiding punishment for gobbling the dessert I made for tonight's dinner. Her name is Hectic Snapdragon, her coloring takes after your father's, and...well, she's not called Hectic as a joke." She spent time describing some of her youngest daughter's antics, the way she flew, and the way she talked.

Speaking of whom, Hectic was flying at her usual pace, grinning, having filched a loaf of sweet bread while being chased out of the house for eating the pudding that was for dessert. How was she to know, they didn't tell her? Munching happily, as usual, she wasn't watching where she was flying, and before long plowed right into something...not quite solid...uh oh...rather squishy with solid on the inside. Looking up slowly with a sticky mouth and hands, hoping she hadn't run into someone she lived with, a bit of bread fell out of her mouth in a shocked reaction to having flown right into Araia. She backs up, blushing bright red, which of course turns her skin plum purple, and her FoxFire flares so bright she looks like a bruised orange. "Ooh, more strangers," she breathed, and seeing Sirath, her little heart flipflops, and she blushes more, if that's even possible. Slyly, shyly, she offers some bread to Sirath. "Hungry? My mother made it, it's really good."

Flowers is intrigued. She loves the name of course, being one of her favorite flowers ever since she met the Dragons of Beyond. "Well, I hope she comes home soon, I can't wait to meet her." Seeing the seeds laying around her, having calmed some, she makes them bloom into flowers, ordinary, but blooming, and hands them to her mother. "Thank you, Mother...for...for being so strong when I am unable."

While Sirath had been waiting for Araia's answer, he was surprised to see such a small fey run into Araia, and even more surprised when she offered the bread to him. It had been years since he had been treated to such niceties and, to his mild shame, his first instinct was that it had been somehow poisoned. He soon figured that this girl, this child, couldn't possibly have any of those sort of intentions so he forced himself to smile slightly.
"Thank you," he said quietly as he accepted the bread, still a little hesitant, and then broke off a piece. He placed it in his mouth, and he realized for the first time just how good real food tasted. There was no need for food in Hell, so Sirath hadn't eaten in a very long time. The bread seemed to give him energy, and it was such a pleasant and foreign feeling that he wasn't sure how to respond. In the end, he nodded to her with another small smile. "It is very good. I haven't had something like this in a very long time, thank you," he said truthfully, then something occurred to him. "Do you know where Millifori resides? We are looking for her." Even as he asked the question though, a burning sensation plagued his insides, as if begging for more food. He ignored it for now, though he wasn't sure how long he'd be able to resist it.

"I don't--" Araia began, when something tiny plowed into him. He stumbled backwards but didn't fall, and stared at the little blue faerie fluttering around and extending food to Sirath. If he wasn't there to find Flowers, he might have laughed at the comical scene, but her appearance only further reminded him why he was here. He listened as Sirath asked the faerie about Flowers, and then looked to her for the response.

Hectic's expression was a mix between surprise that the strangers knew her sister and satisfaction that Sirath took and ate the bread so willingly. Terrans knew why it wasn't wise to break bread with the Fair Ones, but he was no human, she could tell by his scent. She casually broke off a larger piece of the sweet bread, glad she'd taken the whole loaf, and handed it to Sirath, and said sweetly, "Sure, you mean my sister! She's at home. Who are you, and how do you know her?" She munched a small piece of bread, to both encourage Sirath to eat more, and to show him it was 'harmless'.

Sirath was slightly confused as to why Hectic kept offering him more bread, and he was starting to get a little wary. Still, he wanted it so badly and of course he had no idea what it was doing to him. He took the bread and looked at it again for a few moments, his instincts telling him that it wasn't a good idea to eat more, but nevertheless he found his hands slipping more into his mouth. He ate it slowly, but looked over at Hectic as he did so. "We're here to find her and clear some things up. We mean no harm, we just want to talk to her. This man, especially..." he paused to gesture to Araia. "I believe Flowers will be happy to see him."

Araia wasn't so sure about that, and frowned slightly. If anything, Flowers should be angry--or worse, scared of him. And there was no telling what her family would do to him. He sighed, and could only think that he deserved it. But the least he could do was try to apologize.

Miaka listened to The male Fey queitly, and then smiled as he apologized for Snapdragon, "Really, Ive been run into by worse..." A sarcastic, yet obvious note to her voice...15000 years of living and being attacked had that effect on a creature...
As Foxfire invited her in to sit, she gladly accepted, but something panged in the back of her mind...And she smelled something on thebreeze....Something strangly firmillier.

FoxFire sat her down and explained most of what happened, since his wife had given him what she knew of the story, then said, "So...as you may surmise, Millifiori may not exactly be happy to see you, or anyone from Beyond right now. She is grieving heavily for the loss of the man she loves. But I will take you to her, and we will see." Being the guardian of the light, he had faith that seeing Miaka may bring his daughter pain at first, but there could be no light without first being in the darkness.

Miaka nodded thanfully, absorbing the information slowly, "Thank you Sir, I promise, I will not press her..If she feels she would rather see me gone, I will leave hence forth."

"Absently" handing Sirath more bread, she flew up very close to Araia's face and examined him, sniffing. "Why you? You never told me who you guys are. Are you her friends?" She was starting to get suspicious herself. She might have a curious mind, but she knew an evasive answer when she heard one; after all, she was practically the queen of evasive answers herself! "I can't just take anybody home, you know," and she landed, mumbling, "Got in BIG trouble the last time I did that... how was I to know he would slime the halls, he didn't even look slimy!" Mumbling to herself, munching more bread, she appeared to have quite forgotten them, indignant about the "injust" punishments she was always receiving.

FoxFire nodded, and led the way. When he got to his daughter's room, he saw his wife and Hoffnung had returned, and Milli was awake. "My darling, you have a visitor," he said quietly, and noted that Spinner was bearing armloads of rather plain looking flowers. He'd gathered something had gone on here, but didn't have time to ask what as he moved and allowed Miaka to enter the bedroom.
