Rakshiv laughed at his friend's pathetic expression, as Adnan was obviously not used to such obvious rejection. Giving up with trying to keep the cornsnake away from him, Rakshiv lifted it and allowed it to curl around his hand. "I usually stay here, so I don't mind. Though I would advise you not wander around the house too much or leave any doors open. Adnan's little friends are just as bold as he is, I'm afraid," he informed her, his turn to tease.

"Really now?" Celene mused. "Well, as long as they're all like Akil, I don't think I'd mind that too much. His charges seem quite nice." She didn't seem surprised to discover that Rakshiv spent much time here, though it did make her wonder a few things. "Shiv, out of curiousity... where are we going to live after we're married? Not that I wouldn't mind still living near my parents, or even living near Adnan, but I think it'd be best if we had a place of our own. Especially since you aren't very fond of your family." Truth be told, Rakshiv hardly mentioned his family at all, though Celene saw it a little differently than she had now that she knew why.

"They're all perfectly well behaved," Adnan answered, but Akil didn't seem so sure about that. Obviously, as the one kept closest to Adnan, his intelligence surpassed many of the other charges and he was also mure intuned with his master. He flicked his tongue against Celene's cheek before slowly slipping off her body and slithering into one of the other rooms. Adnan watched him go and removed a few of the more daring snakes from his body, laying them on the ground or various parts of the lounge, where they would find far better places to climb. One slipped over to Celene and "sniffed" her curiously, but skittered away from her touch and slithered quickly away.

"I do have a house," Rakshiv replied, but did not sound annoyed. He had never taken Celene to it for the main reason being she seemed to have a far greater time in the company of her family, and Rakshiv preferred to wander outside than remain indoors for too long a time.

Celene seemed sad when Akil left, though raised an eyebrow at the particularly inquisitive snake that replaced him for a few moments. "Where did Akil slither off to?" Celene asked Adnan, already missing him.
"Really? You never told me that, Shiv! You'll have to show it to me sometime," she insisted, leaning against him sweetly. "I'm sure it's lovely."

"To switch with his mate guarding their eggs," Adnan answered. "He's a rather caring father, but his mate is not very enthusiastic." He turned around, and pointed as a smaller black python slithered into the main room to exit the house. He hissed something to her, but she ignored him, obviously not pleased to have guests in her house. Adnan shrugged at them.

Rakshiv raised an eyebrow, but he supposed that since Akil was more sentient than the others it made a little more sense for him to care about his offspring. He watched the moody black snake leave, then looked back to Celene. "I could take you there tonight," he offered, for by that time he was far more eager to retire. It was late, and he didn't trust Adnan or his snakes around his fiancee. She would be able to handle herself, of course, and he was sure Adnan wasn't that stupid, but...

"Oh, he's going to have babies? That's so cute!" Celene said, though she frowned slightly at the black snake and wondered what Akil saw in her. When Rakshiv spoke, she turned to face him, and nodded eagerly. "Sure, I'd love to. Whenever you're ready."

Adnan smiled at Celene's enthusiasm, and nodded slowly. "I'll be sure and tell you when they've hatched so you can come and see them," he told her, and stood, sensing that his guests were about to leave. Syleen remained seated, staring blankly forward again, but as they began to walk towards the door he played a slow, soft, farewell tune on his flute, this time the only instrument to be heard.

Rakshiv stood as well, holding his hand out to Celene and helping her up. "We'll visit soon," he promised, for he always did, and then bade farewell to his friend and left the home with Celene.
Once outside, he alighted into the air with her, and took her hand, leading her off into the night. It didn't take long to lead her to a small, simple cottage between a moonlit lake and forest. He showed it to her, but stopped her before she could enter. "I'd be lying if I said I spent any of my time living there," he said, which was true, and led her through the forest until they came to a clearing. The place could have easily been called a "grove of shadows", for it was decorated with the very interesting flora of Tintagel, some of which were large enough to be used as actual pieces of furniture. It was obvious Rakshiv spent much of his time here, as it was protected by elongated, constantly shifting shadows that sometimes took the forms of people who milled about. The few manifested faceless shadowpuppets bowed and curtsied as Celene was led before them, and Rakshiv took her to the center of the clearing, where the moon could seen clearly from above. "This is my home."

"I'm looking forward to it," Celene told him, and then waved him and the snakes goodbye as she left Adnan's house with Rakshiv. Once outside, she took to the sky and allowed Rakshiv to lead her to his house, and she smiled at how sweet the little cottage was. When he took her to his grove, however, she was truly amazed, and promptly hugged him happily. "It's beautiful, Rakshiv! I love it very much."
