Flowers looks at Miaka, "Did they come here with you? Did you know he was..." She was shaking like a leaf, and her color was fading fast. She looked helpless and small, even smaller than her sister somehow, whom she pulled to her side, as if to protect her personally from the fear that wracked her mind.

She hugs her and begs, "Millifiori, please! Please listen to them! They were really nice to me, and I promise they don't want to hurt you! You can't leave them out there, Sirath's mine now!" She slapped a hand to her mouth, but then said quietly, "He ate half a loaf of sweet bread that I gave him, he's mine, and he won't hurt us, and neither will Araia!"

Sirath was surprised by Flowers sudden silence, but heard her whispered speak. "No, lady Millifori, Miaka had no involvement in this. We came here ourselves, and we met your sister. She kindly took us here herself," he said, his voice much calmer now. Please, Millifori, don't be alarmed. Araia just wants to make it up to you, that's all. He wants to fix things."
When he heard Hectic speak, though, his eyes widened slightly, and he asked quietly, his voice barely above a whisper, "I--I--I'm not yours. Why...why would you say that?" Sirath gulped, suddenly afraid for the first time since they had left Hell. He really hoped that what Hectic implied wasn't true--he couldn't stay here. He had to return to Beyond, to Max..

Flowers is so shocked, her wall instantly reverts to seed. "WHAT?! You fed Sirath?? You can't do that! He can't stay here, he has a home in Ormrland. She sends one seed to vine, gathering her seeds and depositing them in her bags, and looking at Sirath, hoping it wasn't true. "Um, Sirath? " she said, "Hectic said she fed you..." She didn't know how to test this, other than to say, "Why don't you go home, and I'll talk to Araia?" If he had eaten it, he wouldn't want to leave...ever.

Sirath tried to open his mouth to speak, to agree that he should go home, but no words came out. His eyes widened in horror, and his heart clenched tightly in his chest. The desire to return home to Max was strong, but so was the desire to stay here. The idea of being trapped somewhere else brought up thoughts about Hell, and his eyes snapped shut and his hands clamped over his ears as if trying to block out reality. "No...no...this can't be happening again... This can't be true!" he cried out, small tears pricking at his eyes and as he spoke his fangs grew longer and sharper as did his claws. Slowly, his skin began to meld into vibrant green scales and he crouched low to the ground as his body began to transform unwillingly.

Araia stood and watched, helpless once again as the scene unfolded around him. His face was blank and his eyes were hardened and dull, as if he was tired. He was suddenly alert when Hectic spoke, and sprang immediatly into action as Sirath began to panic. He grabbed him, pulling him up and holding him still. "Sirath! Sirath, calm down! It's not like that, Sirath, they can fix it!" He said, desperately hoping he was correct in his assumption, and that he was fast enough to keep Sirath from destroying the Feys' house. He looked pleadingly at Flowers. "What does it mean, what's going to happen to him?!"

Sirath's frenzied mutterings ceased when he felt Araia drawing near, though his body didn't stop changing. Almost his entire body was covered in green scales now, though for some reason instead of transforming into a full dragon he was slowly transforming into some weird mutation of it. Soon he was completely covered in green scales from had to toe, his fangs and claws were quite sharp now, his eyes faded to a beady sort of black, and black spikes protruded from his spine and arms slightly, though something in him was careful to keep his back ones short so that they wouldn't spear Araia. Yet, despite all this he retained a mostly humanoid form. This was completely unusual for Sirath, but Araia's inherent magic had somehow managed to stop the process before it had the chance to progress into his full dragon form.
He tried to jerk his arms away from Araia for a few seconds, but then simply gave up and sobbed silently, his head resting dismally on his own chest.

Her daughter Hectic had pulled some naughty stunts in her day, but this was the absolute limit! "HECTIC SNAPDRAGON!" she practically roared, "What were you thinking??! Who do you think you are, the Leanan Sidhe? You can't give our food to a mortal, and you certainly can't KEEP Sirath!!" Shaken at the sight of the poor Dragon, she hopes Flowers can help him before he gets worse.

Hectic sobs, realizing now that she'd made a mistake. She thought she'd given him enough bread that he'd stay, that he'd want to stay, that he wanted to stay with her. Her little heart broke when she realized he didn't want her at all, that he didn't want to be here, and she crumpled to the floor even as her tears pockmarked the rug on Flower's floor. "I'm sorry! I didn't want to hurt him, I only wanted to keep him!" She bolted to her feet, and being as small as she was, she shot into the air and flew past everyone, racing out of her house to who knew where. "But...he saved me," she cried, having confused his heroism with love, and put on even greater speed until she was so far from home, she was going to get lost. That, or she'd circle the realm and end up back home, depending on her speed.

Sirath was so lost in his dementia that he had no idea what was going on in the world around him. All he could manage to do was fervently pray that this was all just a bad dream or that there was some way he could go home. The only physical thing he was aware of was Araia, and he didn't even notice as Hectic flew out of the room. In any other circumstances, he probably would have been concerned for her--he didn't like leaving anyone to a potentially dangerous situation--but he just couldn't concentrate on anything right then. He was a complete wreck.

Flowers screams at the sight of Sirath's mutation, but hearing him freak out about staying spurs her into action. Snagging her purple leather pouch, she makes a Sleepy Maggie bloom, and dares to run up and smack him right on the nose with it, saying "Araia, hold your breath!" The flower makes a curious popping sound, and dusts Sirath thoroughly with its pollen; he'd have a hard time avoiding breathing it, even in his current state. She backs off and explains, "If he breathes it in, he'll be out cold in seconds, and will stay out for the better part of an hour. When he wakes up, he'll unfortunately be amorous...you'd better get him back to Beyond before then." Last thing poor Sirath needed was to lust after some fey girl because of Flowers' magic! It normally only lasted about half an hour, but given she was on her home turf, her magic was particularly more potent.

Sirath barely had time to look up before Millifori smacked him in the nose with the bloom. He opened his mouth to speak, though before he could say any words his eyes suddenly closed and he fell limp in Araia's arms. As he falls deeper and deeper into sleep, his body slowly reverts back to normal. First his nails and claws retract, followed shortly by the spikes. Then, as if someone was peeling them off, his scales slowly disappeared, leaving tattered and torn clothing beneath. His clothing now only covered the bare essentials, and openly displayed many of his scars and bruises, though Sirath could do nothing to hide them for the others as he was no longer conscious.

Relieved to see him revert to his form, Flowers was dismayed to see his many scars. What had happened to him? She hadn't seen him leap into Hell, didn't know he or Araia or anyone else had been there. Quietly, she asked her mother, "The spiders, a shirt for him, please?" She went to her pouches and asked Araia to wait before leaving. She fetched several, and said, "Take these to Max. He'll know what to do with them, and he'll be able to remove most of Sirath's scars with them. Don't tell him I gave you these, I don't want him to be embarrassed that we saw his scars." Even through her fear, she was worried about others. She couldn't think of why Araia had come back after doing what he'd done, she still hadn't picked up on the fact that he hadn't wanted to kill her. But she wasn't going to let Hectic's mistake cause more pain. She turned away after giving him the herbs, thinking he would leave after her mother's spiders made Sirath a shirt.

Spinner nodded, and spiders flooded from her, seemingly from out of nowhere. They latched onto the remains of Sirath's shirt and began to spin, amazingly making the shirt whole, looking exactly like it had before he'd begun to transform. Before long, his shirt was as good as new, and the only difference he might notice was that the tear burns were gone, and his shirt was now fire, acid, lighting and arrow proof.

Araia pocketed the herbs, and watched as the spiders spun Sirath a new shirt. Before they could finish, however, he looked up at Flowers. "Whatever I did to hurt you so much, I'm sorry. Whether you believe me or not, I am. That day, Astarte, my demonic brother showed up, and took over my mind. I don't know what I did...but I suppose it doesn't matter, because I'm bound to hurt everything that comes into contact with me." He looked back down at Sirath.
"When I regained my mind, Ravenal was with me, in Hell. He...he tried to do everything he could...but he...Astarte..." He swallowed, and paused, before moving on. "...I met Max and Sirath there. Max told me he had followed us through, and Sirath had been taken at the same time by Belial. I...I had to help them...it was my fault they were there..." When he looked back up at Flowers, his face was blank, but his eyes spoke volumes. "So please, even if you don't want to forgive me, know that I am sorry, and I'll leave your life now, before I harm you anymore."
Araia turned and pulled out the gold mirror, the spider's having finished their task, and spoke to it. "Show me General Maxilla's home, on the world Beyond."
