Bjron simply nods, and removes his boots once more, and once more dons the house shoes she had provided, and he to stoicly goes and sits back where he was before. he says nothing, and his expression never changes. hes now wondering how he got mixed up in all this, and then mentaly berates himself for being fool enough to try his hand at love again. What a fool he had been, Fate had decided it was for him to be alone, and have only his Son for company, but ever since Bjairn had joined the military, and moved into his own barrax room, his home had been so quiet, lonely, and cold, no matter how high he stoked the fire, and now seeing what happened when he attempted to go against fate, has now tought him a very valuable lesson. a lesson he would never forget.

Roland closed his eyes after sitting, keeping them that way for a few moments. He knew he was in internal torment, and he couldn't show it. After all, he knew what Bjorn was after. Hell, it was the same thing he was, and he knew it was bad strategy to show your opposition weakness. He knew that there was no direct competition for Striker's heart, but he couldn't shake that thought from his mind. Keeping his wits about him, his eyes finally opened, the red pupils nearly boring holes through both Striker and Bjorn. He crossed his legs and placed his hands in his lap, knowing that the coming moments would be brutal. If not for him, then for Bjorn, and though he wished there would be no harm done, that was an impossibility.

Striker takes a deep breath and seats herself on the floor in front of the fire, since she only has one chair in the living room, and is disinclined to bring another from the kitchen. If he was moved to do so, this Roland could join her there. "General, please have a seat," she said, gesturing to the floor next to her. "I think first we need to figure out why it is that I seem unable to remember much past yesterday. Clearly, I remember the General here, and most everything here, but it feels wrong...like something has been skipped." Honestly, she said to herself, it didn't feel like Bjorn should even be here. Not that she didn't want him here in her quarters; she meant alive. Why did she get the feeling she was looking at a spirit back from the burning ship when she looked at him? "I think we need to contact someone with a bit more magic than I have at my command. This smacks of sorcery."

Bjorn sits down, and he says nothing, he just listens. something has felt very wrong since the moment he came to. he cannot remember anything past himself standing outside Striker's door, he cannot even remember where he got the flower from. he then resigns himself to stareing at the fire. his emotions are on strict lockdown, and at the moment hes wishing something drastic would happen, and bring this little gathering to an abrupt close, hes never wished so much for a clarion call in his entire life as he does now.

Oh fun fun, Roland seems to be the only one to remember a damn thing in this entire group. Shaking his head, he joins them, although at this moment, he feels like he'd much rather be at home in his own Realm. Coming back seems like a lost cause at the moment, and every second spent back there seemed to him like a lost moment of his life, where he could be using his time for other things. But, that's life, or so he assumed. Looking up at Striker and giving her words a moment of thought, he slowly nodded. "I agree. Something is definitely wrong here, and the best way to fix it is to figure out how it happened in the first place." He stood, moving quickly to the door. "Well, I'm going to find someone to help, you two can either stand here in silence, or come with me." He turned from them, a new determination in his being. he was hellbent on either figuring this out and hoping for the best, or just going home and adding this to one of the many reasons he hated the outside world.

Making an indignant, inarticulate sound, she calls out, "There's no need to leave, stars, Roland! Didn't I just bend in two getting you both to come back here?" Aggravated, she opens a portal directly to the palace itself, and asks a guard where the Queen was. He informed her that she was in her quarters with the King, and Striker was dumbfounded again; the King? Why did THAT sound wrong? For reasons she could not fathom, she thought it extremely odd that the King was there, but why shouldn't he be. She sent the guard to disturb them on her authority, and hoped they'd forgive her, but this was becoming more urgent than straightening out a curious seeming love triangle. She closed the portal, and said, "If you can wait long enough for our Queen...and King to arrive, they will surely be here shortly." She swallowed hard, wondering how all this was going to turn out. Her head was spinning. One day, she's just a General in the Queen's army, and suddenly, she's apparently faced with a pair of men who don't know each other, one she thought she knew and one she thinks she knows, both apparently with some kind of feelings for her, and she was just about to snap her mental bowstring trying to keep it all sorted.

All the color leaves Bjorn's face. "Striker, please tell me you didnt just do what im hoping im imagining you just did?" he stands up, and dusts himself off, and straightens his clothes. he has had to deal with a half asleep mad King before, but now its going to be Both King and Queen, and this is reason enough to wory. after a few seconds, he is standing straight and tall, his clothes immaculate, and his face expresionless, as he stands at attention. he had wondered how things could possibly get worse, and now he knew.

Honestly, he didn't understand what all the fuss was about. Granted, the royals would be a bit pissed that they were awoken, but they were just that, sleeping beings. They'd understand if it was important, right? He just shrugged to himself, not knowing, and at this point, not really caring all that much. He just wanted all the confusion to end, so he knew where to go from there. He looked over at Bjorn and Striker curiously, not wondering why they were suddenly freaking out, but he paid them no mind, just standing straight, not making any changes to himself in any way. This was how he was, and if the royals had a problem, they could take it up with him. And judging by Bjorn's reaction, he had no doubt they would.

Defiant, Striker stood up and dusted herself off, though of course she looked impeccable as ever. "Who else is going to know what is going on around here? If you fellows want answers as badly as I do, you'll be glad I'm waking them." She looked at Roland, and wondered, "Have you met our King and Queen, or am I the only person in Beyond you know?" It occurs to her suddenly that she was taking this fellow's word a little too easily. If it was a trap, she was helping him set it, but she'd be damned if she let the royals fall into it without a fight. She'd have his guts for garters if this was all an elaborate hoax played on them because of the strange goings on around here.

Subtle entered the Lodge and looked about; as Spartan as she might have expected, but still homey. She was not in as bad a mood as her mate, so she greeted the group on his behalf. "Striker...Bjorn" She was shaken to see Bjorn, but remembered why, and calmed herself. "And who have we here?" She looked at Roland, not having seen him before, and from the scent of him, he was not a Dragon, but an offworlder, a vampire, to be precise. "Surely this is not the fellow who affected the changes we have been brought here to discuss?" It had not been discussed at the tete â tete WHO had brought about the reality reset, but she was fairly certain it could not have come at the hands of an ordinary vampire, no matter his age or abilities. Not a reset that affected an entire planet.

Steele storms through the portal, and doesent look at anyone but Striker. he says nothing, and his blade remains in his hand. He takes a seat, and turns it towards everyone. and he then simply waits. he isnt here for any other reason than to provide security, and thats all hes going to do unless otherwise asked to do so.

For the Royals, she'd bother to get another chair, and does so. She offers one to both of the other men as well, but will still be standing herself, out of respect. "This, highnesses, is Roland. With all due respect, there is a more pressing matter at hand than his identity. Your majesties, though it may sound incredible, neither Bjorn nor I have any recollection beyond waking up this morning. We recall names, faces, things like that, but the events of even yesterday. We fear an enchantment has fallen across the land.

Roland nodded. "As the General said, I am of no great importance. I an just an acquaintance of hers, who's curious to the goings on of this world, for it has affected me greatly. Roland, being rather clever when the need arises, had already begun to put the pieces of the puzzle together, when he was asked if it was he who had caused the change. That proved there was a change, and though he didn't know why or how, he knew what it was. So he just stood, with a polite and knowing smile on his face, awaiting the explanation the Royals would give. More so, he was wondering if they'd give them the truth, or some ruse to get them off their backs.

Subtle wasn't hatched yesterday. Not only did the tension in this room appear so thick that Steele's ancestral sword would be hard put to slice through it, but General Bjorn hadn't spoken a word. Tilting her head to one side but revealing none of her thoughts through her expression, she said quietly, "And you, General Bjorn? Have you nothing to add?" She fully intended to tell them everything, but if something was going on here, she needed to know about it; was this Roland a friend or foe? It was rare that two of her generals could be held hostage, but clearly something was afoot, and she wasn't going to reveal a thing about the matters of state if he was just waiting to spring a trap.

Bjorn nods. "I do have something to add, apparently Roland and i came here for the same purpose, witch its relevancy isnt important to this situation, what is important however, is the fact, that not only do i have this terribly foreboding sence of being terribly out of place, and not feeling like i belong here, but apparently all of Beyond is affected, for Roland here, who wasent in Beyond dureing the time that this happened, he is unaffected, whist Striker and i are, so basicaly all the three of us wish to know, is, if your Majesties know what's going on?" he looks to both of them back and forth expectantly awaiting an answer, having served under them for all these years, he not used to being out of the proverbial loop.
