Even several miles away from Lac Mistique itself, Cyprien could see a very strange group ahead of her. As she drew closer, she knew that the report had been true, and she drew her out her bow. She landed, and after kneeling down, she pulled out her Jet Arrow and strung it. "Visant, inbetween his eyes," she whispered and released the arrow, watching it make a beeline straight for Visant head.

Visant's eyes widened in surprise as the arrow struck him right between the eyes, knocking him out of the air. The arrow had gone all the way through to the other side, and for several moments he lay there on the ground, seemingly dead. Then, he slowly stood back up, and instead of looking furious or in pain, he laughed. "Excellent try, I commend you!" he called out to Cyprien, who he could now sense--after all, he had spent several of his years living in her clutch. "But not good enough," he continued, and then he reached up and with a quick, efficient movement, he plucked the arrow from his head; the hole healing up soon after. The arrow laid in his open palm for only a few seconds longer before flying back to Cyprien, allowing Visant to pinpoint her position.
Still, despite this new information, Visant opened a portal and said to Clarion, "Looks like it's time to take my leave. Until later Clarion." He flicked his hand in a curt wave before stepping into the portal, not bothering to say anything to Mortechai. He would follow if he felt like it.

Mortechai's eyebrows as the arrow embedded itself in Visant's skull and, in turn, came out the other end. It was a rather funny sight, actually, and he had to control himself from bursting out into laughter. His senses located Cyprien before Visant came back and found her, and was staring at the very clear image of her that was being projected in his mind. Ah, this ability was his favorite. Able to see things far away as if they were right in front of you.
He looked down from his position in midair as Visant began to depart. Mortechai smiled and bowed incredibly low (almost threating to somersault in the air) to Clarion, before following the Lich through the portal.

Cyprien crouched there agape at what had happened--not only Visant's immunity to the arrow but also Mortechai's ability to see her. True, she had remembered that at the Ball Visant had said that he was immune to weapons, but she had thought that he was merely bluffing. She was even more surprised to find out that the strange red-winged Avian was Clarion--yet another hunted member of the clutch and Yseult's personal enemy. Without waiting another second, she opened a portal and slipped through.
