Well, here is somewhere you can post your interesting/humorous quotes.
"When you're in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you're in the wrong you can't afford to lose it."

I like that. I would suggest adding the author of the quotes, or putting "unknown" where you don't know who coined the phrase. Here's another good one:
"Make all your words sweet; you never know when you'll have to eat them!"
-found in SamuraiGirl's signature in deviantART, unsure if original quote

"Old memories seldom fade, and bad habits die hard..."

Now for some things from our admin (I have a tendency not to use adjectives as nouns)
"Open communication is key to forming and maintaining trust"
True, but what if they don't feel like talking to you?
"For instance, if you see that your child has been late to class more than once in a week, it may not tell you that the reason is the fact that a bully has begun to menace him/her. If the child is ashamed or frightened about that fact, they usually do not volunteer that information, and simply take the tardy and try to go on with their lives."
That's truth, and doesn't isn't nessesarily exclusive to children either.
"Discuss together the pitfalls, and do NOT forget to praise the good marks! So often, people are so worried about what's being done wrong that they forget to give encouragement when a child does something well."
Perhaps if you wanted to say something ike this you should show it to everyone to whom it applies. Have fun. =-P
"I will admit, after watching the report, I was both completely horrified and disgusted, but to give a fair review, I had to check this out for myself (we all know how news reports can be slanted, after all)."
Words truer than the last sentence have rarely been spoken.
Now for something humerous I found on another site.
THE RULES
The FEMALE always makes The Rules.
The Rules are subject to change at any time, without prior notification.
No MALE can possibly know all The Rules.
If the FEMALE suspects that the MALE knows all The Rules, she must immediately change some, or all, of The Rules.
The FEMALE is never wrong.
If the FEMALE is wrong, it is due to a misunderstanding which was the direct result of something the MALE did, or said, which was wrong.
The MALE must apologise immediately for causing the said misunderstanding.
The FEMALE may change her mind at any time.
The MALE may never change his mind without the express written consent of the FEMALE.
The FEMALE has every right to be angry, or upset, at any time.
The MALE must remain calm at all times unless the FEMALE wants him to be angry, or upset.
The FEMALE must, under no circumstances, let the MALE know whether she wants him to be angry or upset.
The MALE is expected to mind read at all times.
If the FEMALE has PMT all The Rules are null and void.
The FEMALE is ready when she is ready.
The MALE must be ready at all times.
Any attempt to document The Rules could result in bodily harm.
A MALE who doesn't abide by The Rules can't take the heat, lacks backbone, and is a wimp.

You startled me at first, lol, I wasn't aware that you watch my deviantArt account as well. I didn't know we were meant to analyze the quotes we put here, but I find your thoughts regarding snippets from my review interesting.
Your response to my thoughts on communication has a simple response in kind. If taken out of the original context, that obviously means this is not a person I should trust myself, or care to associate with. Taken within the context, it means that my child is having a bad day, and needs a little time to herself before coming to me and talking about what bothers her.
As to the quote about tardiness, no, it isn't necessarily exclusive to children, but in the example given, it wasn't meant about any other age group. (You said "doesn't isn't," btw, lol) I didn't think anyone had read that review, since no one commented on it. I'm rather surprised it interested you at all. I'm not certain what you mean by your response to a quote about praise from my review. I think that particular quote applies to all parents, but I can't possibly show it to all of them.
I've seen that Male/Female rules thing in several chain emails and on a tshirt, lol, it's fairly well known here in the States.
I got an interesting quote from my grandmother in Texas via email recently, though she doesn't say if she coined the phrase or if it was sent her.
"Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders & says... 'Oh no....she's awake!!'"

"What's your to hit?" "I can only hit on a 20... *pauses* I take the shot." *Rolls 20*. Arrow flies around all sorts of thick cover seeking the bandit leader and piercing his head. From 100 yards away too... ---The gamers.
Not so much funny because of the quotes, but that arrow was just ridiculous, it homed in through an impossible shot, even stopping in mid air to search.

Lol, that shot's not impossible if you're an Avian, know the bandit's name and you have a Jet arrow.
Here's a gamer quote I love (and have searched high and low but have no idea who said it originally):
Jesus saves; all others roll for damage.
Then there's a quote I found while looking for the author of that one, by Pete Abrams: “My dice think my character is a dimwitted, ignorant, blind person that wants to swim in lava.”
